We did a live-streamed Halloween special last night on facebook. Click this button to watch the video! You should be able to watch it whether you have a FB account or not.
We're putting on a HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR, which will be LIVE on our facebook page on Sunday 31st at 9 pm (eastern). There'll be costumes, music, weird surprises, and all kinds of stuff. ALSO: Dress up in a costume and post a picture of it in the comments! Or on the event page, if that doesn't work - we're not sure if you can leave photo comments on livestreams, and the internet won't give a straight answer. Anyway. Vote on your favourites, and the top 3 will win things.
Here's the link for the facebook EVENT
We've been spending a lot of time over at HUGE headquarters, finalizing production on our ***NEW FILM***, which we hope will be ready at the end of October. Here are a few snapshots from the set yesterday. Taken on a 1940s Speed Graphic that Bill modified to take Instax film. The ones with titles were scribed with a stylus directly into the film as it exposed. The last one is a pretty neat double-exposure.
Recently, we did a World Tour Of Our House, streaming live from a different room in the house every evening for a full week, without repeating many tunes (think we wound up repeating about three over the 7 days). We had a lot of fun! Thanks to everyone who joined us live at the time, left comments, or tips. You made our week!
In case you missed them, or want to watch them again, here are all of the shows:
April 5 - THE SPARE ROOM
April 6 - THE BATHROOM
April 7 - THE KITCHEN
April 8 - THE FRONT HALL
April 9 - THE GARAGE
April 10 - THE BASEMENT
April 11 - THE ATTIC
We will be doing MORE live streams SOON, so stay TUNED!
We had a whole tour booked throughout B.C. from March 15-29. We were 3 days into the drive across the country when news about the virus started getting a lot more intense, and a most of our tour dates got cancelled all at once. So we turned around and drove home! All in all, we spent 7 days and $1000 driving 6400 km for a tour that wound up not happening.
Apologies to anyone in BC that was going to come to our shows - we were really looking forward to it, and we're hoping to get back out there this summer.
MEANWHILE, we have all kinds of stuff for sale and we'd be glad to ship it anywhere!!

- Hand-cut silver 5" 45rpm singles - two Memphis Jug Band covers - $10

We just released our first hand-cut 45 RPM single, "You Got Me Rollin'" / "Memphis Jug Blues" (two Memphis Jug Band covers), cut onto repurposed DVDs, laminated together to make beautiful little two-sided compact records.
These singles are actually embossed, not cut, so sometimes when you put the needle down, it will miss the grooves. Just pick up the needle and try again. They sound GOOD!
Now that we've got our record lathe up and running, we will be putting out all kinds and all sizes of home-cut records.
That's right: we have beans. Breakfast beans in tomato sauce!
All bean and vegetable material!
Delicious on toast, or however you like 'em!
We have made the world's first real-time, cook-along audio recipe album: "HOW TO MAKE A PRETTY GOOD SAUCE" - featuring jug band classics, fiddle tunes, and other favourites, plus instructions on how to make a pretty good tomato sauce. Good on spaghetti, or, if you're feeling exotic like us, a nice vegetable lasagna.
